Why podiatry
Orthofit Podiatry Academy has spent 28 years in foot, ankle and biomechanics assessment and care. We are inviting practitioners to integrate podiatry into their practice, because it is the missing link in most treatment protocols: not just something to learn, but something to integrate.
Podiatry is a specialised branch of medical science focused on assessing and correcting the human body from the ground up. When 90% of ankle, knee, hip and low-back pain starts from foot function, analysing foot, ankle and lower-limb biomechanics, gait and posture lets you identify and treat the root cause of pain, deformity and dysfunction across the kinetic chain, from foot to spine, and give your patients permanent results rather than localised symptom recovery.
Localised relief, and a patient who keeps coming back with the same complaint.
And treats the symptom too, by correcting the foundation it grows from.
For your patient, who stops relapsing. For your practice, which gains a paid assessment and a new specialism.
Who should attend
If you assess how a body moves, and you keep seeing the same lower-limb complaints come back, this seminar is written for you.
Stop treating recurring symptoms. Treat from the base and up the kinetic chain.
Speed, power and injury all start from the foot. Technique wins games. A foundation built from the ground up wins championships.
You adjust the spine to alignment, but it cannot hold if the kinetic chain below is malaligned and the foundation is faulty. You cannot hold a straight tower on a crooked foundation.
Nutrition plus foot health equals healing. Wound healing starts in the gut and ends at the foot. Offer a complete diabetic reversal plan: add foot-care counselling and gain more authority and trust.
You manage blood sugar with medicine. But who is saving the diabetic foot? This is why podiatry is no longer optional for you.
A specialisation to build a career on, in a field still early enough in India that being early counts.

Podiatry is built on the science of foot biomechanics and its effect on the entire musculoskeletal system. It is standard practice across the West and still nascent in India, which is precisely where the opportunity sits.
of people will experience serious foot, ankle or lower-limb pain or deformity in their lifetime. Most of them are already on your appointment list.
joints up the chain get loaded by a single collapsed arch: ankle, knee, hip, lumbar spine. Symptom-based care treats the last one and misses the first.
the year Orthofit began practising podiatry in India, under the mentorship and certification of the world-renowned Phillip Vasyli. Twenty-eight years of experience, trusted by over 200,000 patients.
The day, hour by hour
Not a lecture. Clinical presentation, live demonstration, real case studies, and an open Q&A with all three faculty.
Capacity is fifty because the practical demonstration and the open floor only work with one small cohort in a single room. It is a deliberate limit, not a marketing one, which is also why we cannot add seats once they go.
Registration, welcome refreshments, and time to meet the other practitioners in the room.
Welcome address, an introduction to the Podiatry Foundation Program, and the objectives, vision and mission behind it.
The core session. Fundamentals of foot and lower-limb biomechanics, the scope of podiatric practice, and its clinical relevance across musculoskeletal care.
Dr. Anand Gangwal & Chaitanya Shah
Tea, coffee and networking.
Live demonstration of assessment and clinical application, worked through against real case studies.
Open floor with the faculty. Bring your hardest recurring case. This session routinely runs long.
Programme structure, the learning journey, how enrolment works and what ongoing participant support looks like.
Marketing support, administrative assistance, and how Orthofit helps you actually implement podiatry in your practice.
Prize distribution, appreciation of participants and formal closure.
Who is teaching
The reason to give up a Saturday is who is standing at the front of the room.

Phase I · 10 October
A fully interactive seminar on what podiatry is, why you must integrate it into your clinical practice, and the benefits you get. Five hours: clinical fundamentals, live demonstration, case studies and Q&A with all three faculty. Discover how podiatry can transform your practice, if you choose to pursue it further.
Phase II
The Podiatry Foundation Program: a power-packed two-day hands-on workshop that gives you the clinical confidence to accurately diagnose the root cause of symptoms and biomechanical complaints, and cure them. In-depth theory plus practical foot, ankle and lower-limb anatomy, function and treatment. Structure, cost and enrolment are covered in full at 1:15 PM on the day.
Phase III
Complete the Foundation Program and you join the Orthofit network of practitioners, with a members’ community for clinical case discussion and doubt-clearing, and awareness camps in schools, gyms and workplaces that send podiatry patients to member clinics. The network supports you in many ways:
Inside the practice
This is the first Orthofit Podiatry Seminar, so there are no past attendees to quote. What there is, is the practice it comes out of: assessment, orthotic prescription and lower-limb care that Orthofit has been running since 1998. Our patients have been reviewing that work for years.

Before you book
No. The seminar is built as a foundation. If you already assess movement as a physiotherapist, chiropractor, coach or clinician, you have everything you need to follow it.
Dr. Ali Irani, Head of Physiotherapy at Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital; Dr. Anand Gangwal, Director of Prime Physio, Pune; and Chaitanya Shah, Chief Podiatrist and Founder of Orthofit. The 105-minute clinical session is delivered by Dr. Gangwal and Dr. Shah. The seminar is organised by Orthofit Podiatry Academy. The venue is an Auditorium booked at Nanavati Max, and the hospital is not a co-organiser.
Fifty. It is a single cohort in one room, which is what makes the practical demonstration and the open Q&A work. A hundred people in a hall would turn both into a lecture. Registration closes on Saturday 3 October so final numbers can be confirmed with the venue, or earlier if the fifty are taken before then. We do not add seats afterwards.
No, and there is no obligation at any stage. The orthotics segment teaches prescription logic: correction versus comfort, and when a device is clinically indicated. What you do with that in your own practice is your decision.
Yes. Final-year and above are welcome, and the Foundation Program briefing is written with new graduates in mind.
A working assessment approach you can use the same week, and a participation certificate emailed to you after the event. Because the auditorium is booked only to 2:00 PM, certificates are sent as soft copies rather than handed out individually. Every attendee is also entered into the closing lucky draw for a Dr. Edge orthotics kit.
Fees once paid cannot be refunded or transferred. Please be certain of the date before booking, and call us on 84549 20321 first if you have any doubt about whether the seminar suits your practice.
English, with Hindi used wherever it makes a point clearer.
An email confirmation with your receipt is sent as soon as the payment goes through. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, call or WhatsApp us on 84549 20321 and we will check it against the register.
The sessions are recorded for Orthofit’s own use and selected clips are shared on our social channels. Recordings and slides are not circulated afterwards, so the value is in being in the room. By attending, you may appear in that footage.
Yes. The fee is ₹3,000 plus 18% GST, totalling ₹3,540. The invoice is issued by Orthofit Healthcare Ltd. in your practice’s name and is emailed with your booking confirmation.
